This rare graded and sealed 1966 Topps Batman Wax Pack - Blue Bat - B Series could possibly contain a PSA 10 of various pack fresh Batman Cards!
1966 Topps Batman Blue Bat, or Series B, is the third set of cards released in that year which were inspired by the hit television program.
Nicknamed “Blue Bat” because of the blue border and blue bat-shaped title card, the set contains 44 cards illustrated by Norman Saunders. Saunders had previously illustrated the two preceding Batman sets from 1966 as well as the iconic Mars Attacks series. The illustrated Batman cards from 1966 are very popular among collectors and finding high-quality cards from this series can be difficult and pricey but certainly not impossible.
By the time these "puzzle backs" were issued, the Batman television franchise was well-established, and Topps was enjoying great success in its show-related card production. Each card pictures a different, bright cartoon action scene depiction of the Caped Crusader battling an arch villain. A brief description of the scene is printed in white lettering at the lower border of each atop a blue Batman logo with white pinstriping. The reverse bears a brief storyline that follows the front illustration, plus a puzzle segment in comic book fashion.
